Having served for many years as outside general counsel to a number of clients, Pat recognizes the importance of integrating first-quality legal advice with the client’s business objectives and is committed to timely communication, teamwork and practical, effective legal solutions. She counsels start-ups and established businesses alike with the same business-focused approach, providing business solutions and risk management consistent with the client’s needs and expectations
Pat is past-chair of the firm’s business practice group, and is the lead attorney for the firm’s real estate practice. Her expertise includes matters involving general corporate law, commercial law and complex commercial real estate transactions. She also has a robust intellectual property practice, particularly in matters involving trademark, copyright and other forms of intellectual property, as well as technology development and licensing.
Pat is a native of California and practiced in San Francisco for several years before moving to Oregon in 1988. Pat and her husband, John, like to spend their leisure time reading, working in the yard, cooking and entertaining, attending University of Oregon athletic events, following the San Francisco Giants, enjoying Oregon’s many outdoor offerings (especially at Crescent Lake and in Central Oregon), and traveling.
