About Patricia L. Chapman
Pat chairs the firm’s business practice group. Having served for many years as outside general counsel to a number of clients, Pat recognizes the importance of integrating first-quality legal advice with the client’s business objectives, and she is committed to timely communication, teamwork and practical legal solutions.
Pat’s expertise includes matters involving general corporate law, commercial law (including both asset-based and real estate secured loans) and complex commercial real estate transactions. She also has a robust intellectual property practice, particularly in matters involving technology licensing and development, trademark and copyright law. She counsels start-ups and established businesses alike with the same business-focused approach, providing business solutions and risk management consistent with the client’s needs and expectations.
Pat is a native of California and practiced in San Francisco for several years before moving to Oregon in 1988. Pat and her husband, John, spend their leisure time reading, working in the yard, cooking, attending University of Oregon athletic events, following the San Francisco Giants, enjoying Oregon’s many outdoor offerings (especially at Crescent Lake and in Central Oregon), and traveling.
